   In order to prevent trafficking, you can be more alert when travelling. Never agree to go somewhere with anyone or allow yourself to be separated from your group. People, especially young people, travelling abroad can be naïve, so arm them with safe travelling tips so they are not vulnerable to those who would exploit them. Getting the youth educated prevents what they will do in the future. The more knowledge you have about what human sex trafficking is, the more equipped and better prepared you will be to stop it. Listen to experts, read articles and books, and watch videos to learn as much as you can. To be aware of trafficking, raise awareness by associating, faith-based groups, local churches and even your local legislators and politicians. Also, being proactive and writing essays, research papers and talking about it.
